How FPL price changes actually work
A player's price moves based on net transfers — how many managers bring him in versus ship him out — measured against the size of his ownership. Changes are applied once a day, overnight UK time. A player cannot rise more than once in the same 24 hours, and prices are frozen for a period around each deadline.
The progress column is FPL's own published figure. At 100% a rise is due on the next update; at −100% a fall is. The tonight and tomorrow columns are FPL's projections of where that progress will be, which move as transfers come in through the day.
Two things worth remembering. First, when you sell a player who has risen since you bought him, you only get half the profit back, rounded down — so chasing a 0.1 rise is rarely worth a points hit. Second, a projection made at breakfast can be overtaken by a burst of transfers after a press conference. Check again before the overnight change if it is close.
